Branthwaite Care Home in Retford is finished!

This care home specialises in Dementia care and our brief was to create a bright, warm & welcoming feel to this floor, whilst being 100% dementia friendly. This included Corridors, Lounge, Dining Room, Sensory Room, Tea Room and Music Area.
The existing Corridors had limited natural light, due to being an internal 360 degree loop. We wanted to uplift these and create a bright & welcoming set of unique areas, where residents could identify their rooms more easily and create additional seating zones for family & friends. Each individual corridor now has a different feel, with a "Conservatory" area, a "High Street" area and an unused Nurse Station transformed into a "Music Area". We included every design aspect from initial room layouts, mood boards, specification schedules, project management and finally fitout on site. Flooring, decoration, internal doors, M&E, signage, soft furnishings, fitted & loose furniture, artwork & accessories were all included.
