Testimonials

Leeds Jewish Housing Association have used Hiedi on a number of projects now, both refurbishment projects and new build. Despite working in Covid times, Hiedi is ALWAYS responsive, normally within 24 hours with full and detailed answers to any queries. It became apparent very early on in working with Hiedi her vast experience and knowledge of interior design and more specifically design for older people. Hiedi has refurbished 2 existing sheltered housing schemes for LJHA and my advice would be trust her, whilst her suggestions on paper may not be what you would have thought they look fabulous and our residents love them.

Hiedi is currently working on 2 new build projects both general needs and sheltered housing schemes and has shown once again her understanding and expertise whilst also able to adapt to an ever changing budget. I must add, we have never used an interior designer and were sceptic as to whether it was a necessary investment, we are now in no doubt.
I would highly recommend Hiedi and welcome those near to Leeds to come and see her achievements.

Craig Simons, Leeds Jewish Housing Association

As we at Burlington Care look to develop ourselves further we appointed Hiedi as our interior designer for the first of several hopefully ambitious projects. Hiedi's experience and keen inspiration has shone through in aspiring quality for our first project and has given us confidence in moving forward with future projects and working with Hiedi and her team.

Working and liaising with Hiedi was seamless throughout the project and the standard of the finished works is beyond expectations and credit to Hiedi's accomplishments.

Hiedi was appointment as our Interior Designer for the refurbishment of Twelve Trees Care Home, Nether Edge Sheffield. This was the first time we had worked with an Interior Designer, but we wanted a carefully designed scheme for our 30 bed care home for the elderly.
This was the best decision we made, Hiedi's scheme was inspirational, and after just a few days we have received amazing feedback from our residents, families and staff team. To see our residents and families enjoying all the new areas is fabulous.
Hiedi introduced us to key suppliers with proven quality products whilst being mindful of our budget. The attention to detail and fine tuning as we progressed the scheme and to fit out day has been very reassuring.
Hiedi is a very talented Interior Designer and I'm looking forward to working with her later this year for our next project.

Hiedi was our interior designer for the renovation of the first floor at Branthwaite Care Home in Retford. From day one of meeting Hiedi, her professionalism, friendliness and enthusiasm was evident. Branthwaite Care Home specialises in Dementia Care and Hiedi has created a floor which takes you on a remarkable journey with a small music alcove seating area, conservatory corridor with "outdoor" seating and a "Town Street", which leads to a Tea Room. These areas of stimulation have given residents and their families opportunity to sit together and create memories enjoying their surroundings.

The Tea Room Hiedi designed is beautiful and soothing and has provided service users and visitors a tranquil place to chat together whilst enjoying a hot beverage. All the areas created by Hiedi have been thought through with precision, calming colours with perfect textures to compliment each unique area. Hiedi's skill and passion to tailor her interior design to the needs of the service users is rare.
The feedback from relatives and visitors has been outstanding, many stating they feel the place is like a five-star hotel with a cosy, homely feel.

Sham Sooriah, - Registered Manager/Company Director, FBC Care Homes

We appointed Hiedi as our interior designer for our new 83 bed care home, which opened in November 2019.
Immediately after appointing Hiedi, it became apparent that Hiedi has incredible attention to detail, individual flair and a clear understanding of the requirements of our potential residents. Hiedi was always on hand to discuss our ideas, so we were always engaged in the design process. In addition, we were impressed by Hiedi's "can do attitude" which helped the project complete within strict timescales.

Since opening the home, we have received tremendous feedback regarding the design and interiors of the home, as well as it being able to meet the needs of our residents. Finally, we would have no hesitation in recommending Hiedi's services to other care home professionals.

We are currently developing a 107 bedroom development in the Blackburn area. The development comprises Extra Care, Specialist Care, Dementia Care and Intermediate Care, together with communal and leisure facilities.

During the planning stages we were fortunate to be invited to a property called Each Step, which is currently run by Blackburn with Darwen Council as a dementia care home. The quality of the interior design was far superior to anything we had previously visited, and I believe the development itself won a national award, due I would assume from the care taken in both the facilities and the stunning décor. VVHC were so impressed we felt it necessary to investigate the possibility of the Each Step designer, Hiedi Lazenby, working with us on our project and were fortunate to engage her mid 2017.

Hiedi has been very professional in her approach to the Albion Mill development and despite a number of re-designs, has continued to work with us not only on the design but with our budget, our partners and our construction teams.

Working through multiple personalities with very differing views Hiedi has been extremely patient and we cannot recommend her highly enough. Hiedi is working predominately on our Intermediate Care, creating what could have been very clinical looking areas, giving them a more homely feel for those residents experiencing very specific health difficulties. Her ideas and vision for our dementia care wing communal area we think will give residents with this particular condition much comfort and familiarity for their transition away from home.
We have also engaged Hiedi to work in all of our communal areas, including a two storey link building, which she has transformed into a wonderful open space with Lounge, Café and leisure facilities. I am sure we will be using Hiedi's services on future developments.

Natalie Atkinson - Project Manager, Verum Victum Healthcare

Hiedi Lazenby was the lead designer and project planner for the implementation of interior fit out and landscape design for LNT Group (LNT Construction) between 2007-2017.

During Hiedi's period with the company, LNT Group developed over 70 purpose built care homes, largely in the north of England and Midlands. These developments were for both the group's internal care operating company, Orchard and Ideal Care Homes and a number of external customers, including Avery Healthcare, Sanctuary Housing Group, Haigh Healthcare, Black Country Housing Group and Anchor.

Hiedi was responsible for the full redevelopment of the interior design and fit out of the standard LNT Group turn of key ( TOK ) care home offer. This included the provision of Room Data Sheets and Fit Out Sheets and a full home by home inventory delivered to site, set out in accordance with RDS and design specification and arranged in place to full show room specification at handover to client. Working on multiple schemes within LNT Group's own operating company and adapting fit outs and design for external clients, ensured that Hiedi remained abreast of new trends and developments in the market place and in particular colour schemes, fabrics and other materials complimentary to the delivery of elderly care and dementia. This also entailed a carry over into sensory garden landscape areas and external layouts enabling residents to have full use of external space.

With regard to Oakdale Care Group, Hiedi developed an enhanced specification for the private pay market that Oakdale is aimed at and worked with us on 4 purpose built 66 bed care home projects.

Hiedi is competent, honest and trustworthy. She is very detailed and has a flair for designing the interior environment with colour and texture that is pleasing to the eye, practical and relevant to the delivery of care and especially dementia care.

Andrew Long, CEO at Oakdale Care Group

Hiedi was the interior designer for our brand new care home we opened in March. Myself and the team were extremely impressed with Hiedi's vision and capability. Thanks to Hiedi we acquired a fantastic, vibrant, beautiful care home. Her attention to minute detail was extremely evident and very impressive. We look forward to working with Hiedi on future projects.

Hiedi Lazenby is an independent interior designer who has many years experience of working within the care sector - specifically the interior design in construction of new build care homes - always working to client brief and to tight budgets and schedules.
It's not often you come across an Interior Designer that doesn't want to impose their own style in coming up with interior schemes - Hiedi Lazenby is such a person - she carefully listens to the client brief and views the project overall - not just the project that she's undertaking. She takes into account all aspects, from ensuring everything is fit for purpose, the demographics of the surrounding area, current market trends - not only in interior design, but market forces from both the client's perspective, the Site Manager's perspective, but also the upcoming needs of the clientele. Hiedi not only works flat out on numerous new builds but always personally manages each fit out on site. The well being of future care home residents is always at the top of her list.

I had the great pleasure of viewing Kingfisher Court care home in Sutton-in-Ashfield today. It is without doubt the most beautifully crafted Home away from home I have ever seen. The interior would rival that of most 5 star hotels whilst at the same time providing a safe, cosy environment for residents of mixed abilities. The attention to detail is just wonderful, providing a fully inclusive service to all residents, a cinema room, beauty salon, library and Stunning Garden room, with endless activities to fill the day and night.
Kingfisher Court provides true luxury living at affordable prices, go see for yourself, they continually hold events for the community and their key focus it to ensure that your loved ones are in an environment that reflects the very best memories they have encounter in their lives. With a beautiful bright Café and craft rooms there really is something for everyone to enjoy. The journey from home to Care home is one of the hardest decision you will make in your life, but after today's tour I am sure that Kingfisher Court will help you make the right decision and you'll never look back.
